We had a Hetalia photoshoot before the New Year's at i-City, Shah Alam. It was awesome and tiring, but I had a lot of fun as I get to make new friends that share the same interest in anime :) I've got a lot of comments on my 'Spain' and one of them that I found flattering is this:

"Oh my god, you're 20?? BUT YOU DON'T LOOK 20! You look like 14/15."

And they thought I was a real boy. So yeah. Lol.

Lots of things happened while I was away, namely cosplaying, photoshooting, vacationing and...stuff. Anyway, I'm back and ready to post pictures from Comic Fiesta 2011 (Day 1). Like my old entries regarding CF, all pictures are basically, well... based on me. I didn't bring my camera along on that day and Shz and Mlik were too tired to take pictures (we were queuing all day!).

CF Day 1 was practically a horror. Too many people inside and outside the main hall. Tickets were sold out before we could even get to the ticket booth. The crowd was overwhelming. When I saw some Hetalians (that I should be meeting) somewhere in the park, I didn't hesitate to go there and show no care for the entry to hall anymore.

Thankfully, the day turned out to be fine :) I truly enjoy spending my day with the Hetalians!

CF 2011 was held on the 18th and 19th of December. More than 15000 people attended the event. Pretty amazing for their 10th year anniversary.

Expecting the worst

It's really frustrating and sad to know that all your hard work didn't pay off at the end of the day. How much time was actually wasted and your end result is still like crap. Might as well you use all that effort and energy for something else.

Straight to the point: I FAILED my Thermodynamics quiz REALLY BADLY.

Dah la fail, but teruk punya fail lagi tu.

It seems that I really can't get a hold on to Thermodynamics, no matter how hard I studied. People seemed to advise me "Maybe you should try study smarter", "Do more exercises", "Do your best next time". Oh please, as if I didn't try it that way. I heard them so much that I don't know how to feel about them anymore, let alone being motivated. Muak sudah.

I could sense that my self-esteem and confidence are running low week by week. The only 'motivation' I have is to finish this semester and hope that I pass everything. I'm not going to put my hopes up since I'm expecting the worst, which is actually failing my unit.

Frankly, I am too stressed out. I don't even enjoy my time of playing music lately. Everything about this semester seemed to be so negative to me, however, I have always tried to see it in a better way. Alas, failure after failure dragged me down, to a point that I questioned myself:

"Why am I even in engineering?"

I had half of mind to change my course, no kidding. But it is as if I'm quitting.

Then I asked myself another question,

"What if I failed again and again? Wouldn't that be wasting my time? I can do something else."

I never got around with the answer. But I know that time is definitely precious.

For the time being, all I can do is concentrate and do my best for upcoming quizzes and finals. How envious I am knowing that some people are capable on learning so easily. Even they don't pay attention in class, they still get better grades. There's no justice in this world sometimes.

iny fingers swift lightly across the far end of the strayed monotone coloured wood panels. The immaculate demonstration of speed and control produced soft intensity of soundwaves across the tiny apricot room. As time lengthens, the strength of the melody began to climb. Both hands moved about as they have minds of their own, ignoring the world while creating a composition no one had ever thought they would. There was touch of passion, a glimpse of joy but in the end, sorrow and helplessness overwhelmed the entire arrangement.

Anticipation rose, causing her little frame to rock back and forth. Her head tilted and her eyes were shut. She never cared for her surroundings, though all she minded was being with her music. Black and white keys were pressed with different amount of forces whilst her right foot controlled the sustain.

With the building bridge, the song came to its climax. Hands slammed with powerful might onto the keys to convey the dark emotions within. It was as if her soul was crying out to be heard. Alas, in the end, the feelings were overpowering any of her senses. Her mind became blank nevertheless her hands didn’t show any signs of stopping.

The climax seemed to have prolonged.

Her heartbeat was unable to keep up to the rhythm to the extent that her body started to shake unconsciously. She panted and panted as if she was suffocating. She was no longer in control of her music. The music wore her instead. The dark emotions leaked in such manner that she found herself helplessly wander into a world of the unknown.

The sound of piano drastically built up its pace, drowning her deeper and deeper into the pit hole of her own darkness. It was in the spur of the moment, she was able to reach out to that dimmed light that appeared in front of her so suddenly. And with that, she knew she was grasping onto reality.

It was then her playing stopped.

She inhaled heavily for the sake of breathing in oxygen to retain her composure before gradually toned down the pace of her music. Her right played the octaves as her left played the chords. A soft, melancholic tone was heard as a sigh of relief was noted. Fingers curled softly, hands overlapping each other to the upper keys to end her random composition. Her right pinky then finally rested on the G key.

In the midst of performing the tarawikh last night, my phone received plenty of missed calls. A text message was left for me as well. I only noticed them after the prayers ended.

It never crossed my mind to expect such number of calls in a short amount of time. And for that, I felt uneasy. All the calls are from home and Dad. In my heart, I knew something was wrong, which was then I read the message.

My heart nearly stopped.

"Just to inform you that Aki sedang nazak. Pls pray for him insyaAllah" was written. My heart was pounded rapidly, my mind blurred out for a moment - to digest what I had just read. I was grateful that Nrul and I went to the surau by car, and she asked whether it's okay to fuel up. I agreed as I wanted ice-cream as well.

I told her about my grandfather and his current situation, however, I couldn't help myself to tear. Her kind words encouraged me that I should not be weeping over this. If it's already his time to go, nothing could change that. It's all depends on Allah SWT.

When we arrived to Shell, I headed towards McDonalds and ordered a McFlurry. Maybe it was just my luck that the ice-cream machine was busted. So I ordered nuggets instead.

Nrul was fueling her car when I received another call from Dad. And this time, I was able to answer it. Apparently, Mom was on the other line.

"Aki's in coma."

"His heart stopped for moment, so doctor gune benda elektrik tu and his heart start to work again."

I asked her whether he'll be fine or otherwise.

"The doctor said dah takde harapan."

I found myself in tears again. I then asked whether Dad's doing fine or not.

"He's just controlling his macho."

By that, Mom passed the phone to Dad. His voice was as cool as ever, but the sadness in his voice was noticeable. He told me that it's life. People die when their time comes. The only thing we can do now is pray that he'll be fine in the afterlife.

I cried more. I wanted to stop. To stop crying. But hearing Dad and knowing that he's actually not alright makes me even sadder. I wanted to go home, right there, right now. I want to be with my family and relatives and to go through this together. Yet, I can't go nowehere and all I can give was my prayers.

Nrul was there to comfort me throughout the night. And I thanked her for doing so.

This morning, when it was time for sahur, KJamz called asking whether I was fine. I told her that my grandfather was on the verge of blowing his last breath when she thought it was my father since she knew about Dad's heart attack a few years back.

Mom then called me around Subuh, informing me that Aki was no longer with us.

So whenever I looked at the letter my that both of my grandparents gave to me, with their names written on it, my heart felt sayu. And reminiscing the days when I come over to their place and the moment I salam his hand, he won't let go of mine.

He will keep on encouraging me to do the best and how he wishes for me to succeed.

So now I have found the reason to keep moving forward where just last week I was at the point of giving up with chemical engineering.

Aki, I hope you're placed among those who are beriman. My prayers goes for you and for all of us to continue on our lives. You will always be remembered.

And as Nrul said, Allah SWT lebih menyayangi dia. Dan bertuahnya dia meninggal di bulan Ramadhan.

The match was great. Though the game was not in favour for our national's team, yet I am still proud of them. Because you can see that they were trying their best and went all out :)

I... I can't believe it...

I actually went to my first football match, though today was only their training day. And what's more interesting was that I got the pass for free. Mlk was kind enough to give me one (as an advanced birthday present).

Knowing that Arsenal's coming to Malaysia, I admit, I was excited, thrilled, and extremely happy. Knowing that I was able to get tickets (thank you Ftmah and Kmeel), speechless I was. I am thankful and grateful for the opportunity but I wished my photography skills were better :(

I was holding on to Charlie throughout the training session, my arms did ache after a while. But I guess, it was worth it since I got the chance to shoot my favourite players that I would never, in a million years, be able to see them live. In person.

Ftmah, her brother and I arrived at the Stadium Bukit Jalil around 5.30pm.

Warning:
The colour of images changes drastically from time to time as I was experimenting with the Art function on Charlie.

The stadium was hot when we arrived, so we opted to change our seats to the opposite side.

Fans were already pumped, anticipating the superstar players.

However, we're delighted to catch some action from our country's football team.

The crowd went wild whenever the players passed them.

And we're proud of them. Our national team.

Why hallo thar, coach.

A couple brought along their baby and they were seating right in front of us. This little girl is just too adorable.

...And we're not alone.

The Arsenal players had a little match and I managed to get a video out of it. However, due to my unstable hands and arms, the video came out pretty shaky and a bit dizzy to watch. LOL.

Advices from the coach after the match.

Though the training session only lasted for an hour and 15 minutes, I'm glad that I went for it.

I was about to turn down the invite, but I'm thankful that I didn't. Because seeing these players who came from far to be here is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
IF they are not coming back here again.

But I guess, anything can happen in the future.
Nothing stays the same throughout their lifetime anyway.

Brunei oh Brunei!

Even though it's already 14 days passed since the first time I went to Brunei with friends, however, I would still like to share it here :) Probably it'll be helpful for those who're planning to go there in the future.

In my opinion, Brunei is wonderful. It's peaceful (not too busy), even in the main towns, and it's easy to find food. There are malls and recreational parks to enjoy. Oh not to forget, The Empire! And if you're thinking of retiring and wanted to settle somewhere else, the Brunei it is.

Shz, Jo, Nrul and I spent a night in Brunei. We took off from campus at 8.00am and arrived in Brunei around 10.45am. It's amusing to know that your campus is actually 20minutes drive from the border. Hahaha. Anyway, we decided to stop by for breakfast at the only R&R of Brunei. And I got to taste their nasi lemak, which cost about 1.50BRD. Jakun la I when I saw my total meal cost around 1.70BRD only! But of course, I have to convert the currency to MYR la to know the exact price.

After that, we went straight to Bandar and being the tourists we were, we stopped by at the Regalia :)

Brunei people are nice. They stopped for us to cross even though there's no traffic lights and no zebra crossing.

We can't take pictures inside the museum, so the outside exhibition will do.

You need to take of your shoes before entering the Regalia. Remember to wear socks, yeah! The marble is too cold for my tiny bare feet =.="

We then went to The Mall and wandered around, checking out their shops and whatnot. Don't expect it to be Pavilion or KLCC. It's like MBK in Bangkok, only smaller. We decided to watch Red Riding Hood movie that night, yet due to some technical problems, we then watched Thor 3D instead :D

Lunch at Excapade was marvelous. The sushi was AWESOME! T^T

After lunch was the check-in to Palm Garden Hotel. However, it's only Nrul and I that are staying there. Shz stayed over at Jo's. We then rest a bit before heading for go-karting at Jerudong.

You can tell that we're drained. Yes, we did like 25 laps or so.

We headed for dinner at Caper's (Italian buffet) after showering. It's ALL YOU CAN EAT and it only costs 15BRD per head. However, they will charge you if you don't finish your food.

The boys are soooo early that they actually knocked on our hotel room door, excited and hyper. The two of us were not ready and this amused us as we thought that they are still in bed. It was 9.00am.

Nrul and I checked out from the hotel and all of us went for DQ Blizzard, a famous ice cream store in Brunei. The ice cream is served upside down. If it drips, you'll get the ice cream for free :D

Nearing 2pm, we headed off to Empire for swimming :3 Empire itself is a 6 star hotel, but it is open to public where they can use the facilities there. Of course, you need to pay. Our admission fee for using their pool is 25BRD. We had fun! XD And the best part is that we went kayaking as well!

We were so random that we actually went to the deepest part of the lagoon and jumped off from our kayaks. We were given lifejackets earlier (Bodyglove branded - the luxury!). And then we had the trouble to climb back up. LOL.

Before heading back to Miri, we stopped by at Jo's place to bid our goodbyes to his parents. It was truly a nice experience, being in Brunei :) But it won't be as fun as it would be without your friends. I enjoy their company and I had a blast.

Guys, we should go somewhere else in the future! KK roadtrip anyone? Hahaha.

I feel like sharing my top three K-Pop favourites (not in order).

This post is not advisable to be read by male readers cause' I'm going to let out my inner fangirl (unless you're up for it; but I'm not that hardcore). LOL.

BIG BANG

It started out with their "Haru Haru" debute. I wasn't a fan of K-Pop back in those days as I was truly tuning in the Japanese ones. But this song really had caught my attention. Not only that it started out with a piano instrumental, the song (as whole) itself is truly something worth listening to (in my opinion la). Then came more of the upbeat ones. I have to say, in terms of catchy songs and auto-tunes, I would prefer to listen to them!

Ain't they cute?? Hands down the most adorable Korean group evahh! *coughcough* Ehem, sorry about that. Anyway, I got to know SS501 through the Korean drama, "Boys Over Flowers". Apart from one of the group members was acting in it, but some of the background songs were theirs. Songs like Dejavu, Love Like This and A Song Calling For You had easily blew me away. And one of the reasons I like this group is that they have such interesting music videos (including their parodies!).

TOHOSHINKI/DBSK/TVXQ

Last, but definitely not the least! Back in 2008, I was on vacation in Bandung with my family. It was there that I bought my very own Tohoshinki CD. And it was my FIRST to ever bought Asian-related audio CDs. The CD was in Japanese, so I thought they were Japanese. However, soon I found out that they're actually Korean XD It gave me a shock indeed. Lol. But I really like their approach in music :) They're not too bubbly, in which they are more to the 'mature' and 'serious' side. I like! Hahaha.

Nevertheless, these are just my opinions. I listened to others as well, yet only these three never ceased to amazed me. Well then, what about yours? :)

One of my colleagues received a Dean's List for last semester's subject, EFPC. What had shocked me that, her marks are the SAME as mine, yet my name was not on the list. It has been a long, busy week. Plenty of assignments due, and not to mention the time for studying was truly limited. Sigh, I just hope I'm still in one piece at the end of the semester. And as of now, I have 6 assignments needed to be finished by next week.

But, right after that, The Music Department will be holding a gathering party/BBQ, in which I am so looking forward to. Going to hit the keys acoustically this time with Esthr and Jo.

Oh yeah, one of our assignments for this week is to build a house using Google Sketchup.
Though mine was only a single-story, yet I am proud with the outcome. I saw others', and theirs were like, OHGODTHATISSOAWESOME. No kidding. Well, at least I put my efforts on making it nice :)

And I really like my swimming pool :D

So just got back from hanging out with the guys at McD and Starbucks, in which was definitely a hilarious and enjoyable night, so to say. I found out that, they:

1. Really REALLY like to talk about cars.
Enthusiasm says it all.

2. Love sharing their high school wacky experiences.
You would never guess what they did back in those days!

3. Are hot-blooded male species that didn't mind to joke about perverted stuffs to others.
So so typical of them.

I love my Electrical System 100 lecturer so much.

I mean, how can you not love that guy? His teaching skills are so mad that even those who don't like electrical stuffs became fond of it. And his humor and sarcasm are just, like the icing on the cake. Oh wait, the cherry on top counts as well.

He was teaching us about the Mesh and Nodal Analysis where he suddenly remembered a scenario from his past regarding the type of workers in his collegue's Sony Ericsson company, in which he said the awesomest thing I heard all day;

"Business (marketing) people travel in first class, but engineers travel in economy."

Well, truth to be told. Engineers were taken for granted nowadays :(

The other subjects are fine, by the way. With the new timetable, I was glad that I have plenty of free time for studying during the weekdays. Classes as late as 6.00pm were a drawback for many of us. Though tired from the all-day sessions, our tutor was 'quick' and kind enough to finish the lecture thirty minutes earlier than the allocated time.

Oh yeah, so I met the band again :)

I was supposed to do a little performance for the Music Booth today, but due to my weak body (I was sick since morning, but I'm fine now after getting myself Mat Magik's burger and nasi lemak) and the absence of Jo's keyboard, I was unable to do anything except, manning the booth with the others.

And... I totally forgot that there was a meeting today DX

Drek happened to trigger the memory when he was at my apartment for Fererro Rochers.

Aihhh...

And so now, I'm practically on my way finishing the essays that are needed to be submitted tomorrow. Need to get back to work!

Months turn to weeks, weeks turn to days and days turn to hours. Leaving only less than 48 hours for my stay in KL before heading off for Miri. Stuffs had not been packed yet and I seemed to lost/misplaced my Student ID.

I must admit, since the start of the new year, I haven't been so 'cheerful' as I used to, for I was being dragged onto the most emotional roller coaster that I ever experienced. My blog posts started to vary from the usual bubbliness to more gloomy short ones. I realized that that they were uncalled for, but I'm still human. I have other feelings too.

And as life goes, there would be a time for a person to experience heartbreaks.

Guess mine came this year.

In which brings us to the point that I'm not sad to leave KL. Heck, the fact that I am away from the things that reminded me of those hurtful moments made me even wanted to go there and study so crazy till my brain hurts.

Of course, I will definitely miss my family so much :(

I mean, Curtin will distract me for the better.

Even though as bad as what I had to go through, there are still somethings that I never thought I would be able to do. I opened up to Mom. I told Mom everything. I cried in front of her. And she was there beside me, holding me, comforting me with words of encouragement. Patting my shoulders as she tells me stories from her past. And she had it rougher and tougher than mine. Compared to what I'm experiencing now, it was nothing to what she had gone through.

It made me realized how strong she is then and now.

So, here I am, waiting to be 20 with a lot of questions about life.

And I've faced scenarios that probably wouldn't mean anything to you.

Sighhh, I guess, when we grow older, we tend to think all kinds of stuffs and worry about them. Maybe that explains my white hairs.

After multiples of surveying and negotiating, I've decided to get the Olympus Pen E-PL2.

Though, I must say that I would prefer a Canon model, however, this little guy had really caught my interest more than the Canons this time around.

First of all, it has to be the body work. Vintage-y looking and absolute compact than DSLRs. Truth to be told, I was never a fan of the bulkiness of DSLRs :( It's a pain for me to always carry around my current SLR. It's big and Dad won't let me carry it without the bag. THE BAG! It's... I have no words to say...

From what I've read, the E-PL2 is practically a fun, art camera. It has never crossed my mind that I would want a professional DSLR since I'm not a pro photographer to begin with. And Shz told me that the E-PL2 suits me better(?)

Picture quality wise, it's not too extravaganza :D In which, I'm so-so about it. Hahaha.

We went to Ampang Park right after my niece's aqiqah. Dad and I stumbled upon this little camera shop upstairs and we found the E-PL2 there. According to the shopkeeper, he would sell us the camera for only RM2800 with two lens kit, a viewfinder and also 8GB memory card. As tempting as it sounds, Dad will give it a thought. Of course, it costs as much as my Yamaha P-85.

We will scattered around to survey more camera shops (that has easy payment) tomorrow.

And InsyaAllah, by this year, I will have my own camera :)

A week before, I had already scouted for a new dress to wear for the occasion.

A day before, I was having imaginations that it'll be a night to remember.

And on the day itself, it was something that I never expected.

Dad informed me last December that there will be a piano concerto held at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in January 2011. And the pianist is a child prodigy at the age of twelve. Since I never experienced live orchestra before and out of love for music and piano, I agreed. It was later I found myself getting dressed for the big night.

I'm not a classical lover, but I do respect it. Just the thought of watching an orchestra had gotten my adrenaline rushing.

It was like being in the Nodame Cantabile series when I stepped into our designated circle. The hall is tremendously beautiful, though smaller compared to Istana Budaya's theatre, however, it is more luxurious. The atmosphere of surrounded by people in suits and classy outwear was more than I could asked for. Not to mention the French people were aplenty.

One by one, musicians came forth onto the stage, and following suit, the conductor.

The little pianist, came in after the introduction song and played a total of three songs; two songs with the orchestra and a piece alone. Small in size, but his fingers were fast. Technically, I was blown away. Performance by performance, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra did superbly. They ended the night with a 24 minutes piece by Schubert.

I was living a Nodame moment since the very beginning of the performance. Only I didn't bring my piano-key-bag with me :) And now I know why the characters in the series are so hardcore about orchestra. Being a musician myself, there is always room for improvements and amazement when you're passionate.

And I feel it. Their passion.

Even though it's cheesy, but I really do.

Hahahahaha!!

4 Random Facts :)

1. I will have a LONGER semester break at the end of the year (4 months holiday). Oh my.

2. Mom was okay with the idea of me going to Singapore for attending anime/cosplay conventions there. I just checked some events (from 2010), and if the dates are as close as those in 2010, I will be going to the Anime Festival Asia (AFA). Oh shit.

3. First song played in 2011 on piano: All Izz Well from 3 Idiots.

4. I'm going for my second year degree, insyaAllah.

CF 2010: Hetalians

Hetalia cosplayers were very hard to spot amongst the huge group of people during the annual Comic Fiesta on the 18th & 19th Dec - unless they are in a big group and carrying flags of their representative countries.

My friends and I decided to head on CF as Hetalia's Egypt, Belgium and Spain, in which the process of finding the right getup for the characters was a challenge, nonetheless the outfits were very, very, simple for cosplaying.

Despite everything, we had FUN :)

I'm sorry for this being a late post regarding the CF 2010, however, I would like to write this post regarding the Hetalians w met there. Therefore, if you're looking for cosplays other than the said anime, I apologize that I won't be posting them in this post.

We got on the train with our costume :D Since our attire was 'normal', we were able to 'blend in'.
Oh yeah, minus the stares we got on the train.

We managed to get up to the 14th floor, yet only to meet up with a VERY LONG line for tickets. Thank goodness Kyouya and I opted for the two-days entry, that enabled us to cut the line. It was FOC for little brother's part though.

Sissy and I planned to go somewhere with our cousins before the new year comes. Since most of us are free during the week, we decided to go for a little get-together at KLCC.

Actually, the main purpose to go there because they have that green park in which we'd planned for a photoshoot.

Sadly, Dann wasn't able to come due to his preparations for prom.

And so the five of us headed out around 11.40 am for some lunch and movie before strolling around the oh-so packed park. It seemed like forever since I walked on the pedestrian road of the said park, but alas, nothing seemed to be changing.

And then we went walking some more while giggling, laughing out loud and jakun-ing away - feeling as if it was our first time there. I can't lie, I was having a blast XD We then went in the search for another good spot to take pictures. Basically, the trees are our props for the day.

We head back to the circular grass thingy for our final shoot before going home. And it was looking like it's going to rain very soon.

It was then my turn but it was raining and everyone was a bit panicky so my photo didn't turn out well when captured. However, I am already satisfied with what I had taken and what I had experienced :)

We got into the car and head for KFC for some snacks.

There you go. A half day of fun and laughter. I think it was a great day for family bonding and the atmosphere felt great today. We weren't in a rush and we were sort of being laid back, enjoying the spontaneity of all. We should do this again, guys.

So we've just got back from our weekend getaway, Lukut.

And I bought some coloured lenses at Ampang Park somehow X)
Hahahaha. And it came with this adorable cleaning kit.

Halal Food in Bangkok

There's no doubt that food is essential for beings, no matter where they are and when. It has become a problem for those, especially who are on overseas vacations and can't seem to find the right restaurant, the right food outlet to dine in that suits the native taste.

It becomes tougher for Muslims.

Since halal food is not in abundance in most countries, dining or even buying food can be a hassle. However, there are still good halal restaurants if you know how to search for them :)

My family and I went to Bangkok, Thailand a week ago. And Alhamdulillah, the journey was splendid. We shopped, made visits and also dine in well. In this post, I would like to share the restaurants that we went.

1. Al-Tara Halal and Vegetarian Restaurant

(the little chick is not included)

Location: The Chaophya Park Hotel
What to look forward: Ambiance and the Tom Yam

2. Yana Restaurant

Location: MBK (near food court)
What to look forward: Chicken Tom Yam and fast service

(We actually eat here four days straight! That means something)

3. Usman Thai Restaurant

Location: near Imperial Queen's Park Hotel
What to look forward: Friendly service and keropok udang (prawn crackers)

4. Mak Yah Muslim Restaurant

Location: 497/16 Petchburi Road, Rajthevi
What to look forward: Tasty Thai delicacies. Yum!

(And if you travel by foot along the Mak Yah sidewalk, you will be able to encounter this little 'mamak' restaurant that serves roti canai!)

5. Canadian Pizza & Ichiban Restaurant

Location: Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok
What to look forward: Incredibly fast service and Japanese-Western food

Transportation: Taxi, BTS or MRT.

The above restaurants are certified with halal certificates, so you don't need to worry :) Financial wise, a meal (average of 4 lauk with 4 rice) can cost around 800 baht to 1200 baht. However, it varies with restaurants and what you order actually.

And so with this, I would like to end my food post for today. I might update with the rest of the journey in Bangkok. But it's time for me to go.

And so it's that time of the year again. It's finally December - marked the month of major cosplaying.

What's interesting this time is not just it'll be my third cosplay convention I'm attending, but also I'll be cosplaying from the same series with my fellow close friends :) A lot of preparations were done. We scouted basically Bukit Bintang area to find necessities last Sunday, only to meet up with zero success since our main target was the military-like khaki shirt.

I decided that I'll attend both days of Comic Fiesta (18 and 19 Dec) this time - cosplaying as Spain on the two days, yet with different versions of his attire.

Day 1 - Military
Day 2 - Austrian War version

I've went for fabric hunting with mom for the past couple of days, in the quest to find a material that is suitable for Spain's coat/robe. Intentionally, we decided to go for velvet. However, seeing that the velvets at the fabric outlets are the cheap kind (not suitable for clothing), we settled on a duo-coloured fabric. Colours: Red & Blue-black.

There's not much time left for me to go browsing for more. I'll be absent a week before CF, therefore, I'll lose some groundwork during that time. And to think I haven't finish my props yet!

But I'm thankful that my military outfit is done :)

And with that, my progress on my costumes are:
Military - 99.5%
War - 50%
